Mrs. Moyer’s Sponge Cake

4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 “ flour
juice and rind of ½ lemon

Separate the eggs. Beat the yolks + lemons and ½ the sugar 10 minutes.
Beat whites until they peak adding the other ½ cup sugar gradually.
Put the two together and beat well.
Fold in the flour. Bake in ?? pan 1 hour.
Sift flour before using.
