1 quart onions
6 peppers
1 quart chilled lima beans
1 quart small cucumbers or 4 large ones
3 stalks celery, cut up – enough to make quart
1 quart corn — six cans
1 head cauliflower, broken up
Cook all of the above in the usual way in the usual way for each vegetable.
Put all in a kettle and cover with vinegar. If vinegar is very strong, make it half water (1 quart vinegar and ¾ cup water)
Let all come to a boil then add ¼ lb. Coleman’s mustard, two tablespoons salt, 2 cups sugar. If not sweet enough add sugar to taste. If not thick enough, add flour. *Color with turmeric.
